HAVAŞ EUROPE

Our ground handling company North Hub Services (NHS), established in the Northern European country of Latvia’s capital Riga as a 50 percent partnership with a subsidiary of BAS (Baltic Aviation System), Air Baltic, which is also the fastest growing airline company in its region, launched a passenger services operation for Air Baltic flights from January 1, 2010, onwards. Havaş also obtained the necessary approval to provide ramp services at Riga Airport by winning the Ramp Licensing Tender soon after the establishment of this partnership. In parallel, NHS also started providing ground handling services in the capital city of Helsinki in Finland as of July 1, 2010, and completed its launching preparations at Arlanda Airport in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, and began its ground handling operations here in the second quarter of 2011. Havaş also increased its stake in NHS, and as of December 11, 2011, it holds 66.7 percent of the company shares and continues its operations under the “Havaş Europe” brand. Aiming to become the largest ground handling services company in Northern Europe, Havaş Europe provides services in various areas, including representation, management, supervision, passenger and apron services. Havaş Europe, a member of the International Aviation Handlers Association (IAHA) and IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC), operates with a mission to support its customers’ success by providing high standard ground handling services.
