Warehouse is the name of areas, which are established for placement of goods under customs supervision and the conditions and qualities for establishment of which are set out by regulations.Furthermore, warehouse is a customs regime, where goods can stay for an unlimited period, provided that they are placed as set out in the customs legislation and where taxes for those goods are not paid during the period of stay in the warehouse.

Warehouse Management is a supplementary component which is the continuation of the ground handling services for aircraft that is the main field of activity of Havaalanları Yer Hizmetleri A.Ş. Havaş entered this sector, which was felt to be lacking, with the export warehouse taken over at Atatürk Airport on 19.12.2005 and it launched the import warehouse within borders of K. Çekmece on 01.02.2008. In parallel to the progresses in the sector, we have some ongoing projects to open warehouses at other international airports of our country.

Hardware and software with state-of-the-art technology are employed in our warehouses during the period from acceptance till delivery of cargoes. Information about cargo is simultaneously sent to the customer via electronic mail at our export warehouse.

Moreover, our customers can follow up the current status of their cargo on Airway Bill Inquiry at online services at online services with the airway bill number at any time if they like.

Security services fo our warehouses are provided by TAV Özel Güvenlik Hizmetleri A.Ş., which is an expert in its field and which also renders security services at Atatürk Airport, Esenboğa Airport and Adnan Menderes Airport. 

In addition to private security, our warehouses are monitored and recorded for 24 hours with CCTV surveillance system. Our warehouses are equipped with special systems and necessary measures have been taken against all kinds of natural disasters (fire, earthquake, water flood etc.) .

Furthermore, cargoes are insured for any damage and loss during the period from acceptance into our warehouses till loading onto the aircraft or delivery to the customer and they are under guarantee of Havaş.
